Full-On Brake Muscle

The initial range of PBR Performance brake upgrades has been developed specifically for Holden and Ford enthusiasts with 17" or larger wheels.

As a complete vehicle upgrade these ADR compliant systems incorporate larger twin-piston front calipers, performance friction material front and rear, larger grooved and vented rotors and steel braided brake hoses.

Awesome Stopping Power

Your PBR Performance brake system has been tested to the demanding AMS (Auto Motor und Sport) standard originating from Europe .

This is an ultimate abuse test for brake systems, where the car is driven at wide-open throttle to 100kph and then brought to a stop under maximum braking. This is repeated, as rapidly as the vehicle will permit, over 10 stops

and the braking performance for the last stop is compared to that of the first stop as a measure of braking capacity/consistency.

Under these demanding test conditions there is no disputing the massive gains over standard brakes with reduced stopping distances of up to 20metres being recorded for some applications.

Cooler Braking

The ability to remove heat from a brake system is a critical factor in reducing brake fade and extending brake system life. Larger, ventilated disc rotors and larger pad surface area both play an important role in reducing temperature.

The PBR Performance brake system runs up to 30% cooler than standard brakes. That puts you in a much safer position if you need to work your brakes hard.

More Bite

Accurately machined rotor slots deliver increased pad bite by continually wiping the pad surface clean, keeping it free from glazing.

A feature of racing brake systems for years, slotted rotors improve pad/rotor contact by dispersing gas build-up from the pads. They also speed water removal to greatly improve wet weather driving.

Improved Pedal Feel

The unique combination of PBR's stiffer, twin-piston front calipers coupled with steel braided brake hoses delivers a much more responsive brake pedal with over 30% reduction in pedal travel achieved on some applications. When you need to stop quickly you can really feel the brake muscle being applied.

Fitment Note

The PBR Performance brake upgrade kits are only suitable for 17" wheels or larger. You should check that the system will fit by downloading the appropriate wheelcheck template from the technical support section of this website.

In the event of a flat tyre these kits are not compatible with steel spare wheels. You must have a spare wheel which is identical to the other four wheels.
